Two products today, built by the same people and sold on the same terms. SMEPoint-Desk runs the shop; Carvect Pro cuts the parts. Each is a perpetual licence, verified on your own machine.
SMEPoint-Desk · Shop management
Run the office and the floor.
Shop management in one application and one project, so a number entered at the counter is the number read on the floor and posted to the books. Downloaded from this site.
- Office — contacts and leads, quotes, sales orders and invoices, with the documents a purchase order needs
- Shop floor — work orders with routing and operations, labour logged by step, a queue you can filter to a workstation
- Inventory — stock and bills of material, soft allocation against open orders, shortfalls that raise a requisition
- Purchasing — requisitions through approval into purchase orders, and receiving against them
- Costing — estimate against actual on every work order, carried back to the next quote for the same part
Carvect Pro · CAD/CAM
Turn a drawing into a finished part.
A complete CAD/CAM system for CNC routing and carving. Draw or import the geometry, build the toolpaths, verify them against real stock, and post a program your controller accepts. Windows and macOS, developed side by side. The full detail and the purchase live at carvect.com.
The work it covers
- Design
- Vector drawing and editing, text to curves, DXF and SVG import, nesting, and a project format that keeps a job together across revisions.
- 3D
- STL and mesh import, relief modelling, and reliefs combined, rotated and edged without leaving the application.
- Toolpaths
- Profile, pocket and drilling, trochoidal clearing into the corners, parallel and scallop finishing, rest machining between operations, V-carving and two-board inlay.
- Feeds
- Starting feeds and speeds from published chip-load data, with a tool library of 120 bits defined before you add your own.
- Verification
- Full cut simulation against stock, and a work-envelope check that refuses a job larger than the machine and names the axis at fault.
Licensing Carvect Pro
- Licence
- Perpetual, installing on two computers at a time and driving as many CNC machines as you own. Move a seat yourself from inside the application.
- Updates
- Twelve months included. Afterwards the software keeps running and every build released inside your window stays yours.
- Offline
- Activation completes without a network connection, using a signed licence file and the machine id shown in the application.
- Trial
- No time limit. Everything works except writing the G-code.
- Platforms
- Windows and macOS, including Apple silicon.
What comes next
